I purchased this card to hook my media center computer up to my 50" plasma. It does not. [.]. When I installed the card it disabled my onboard audio card.
The video display is great and the software isn't too hard to figure out, but I wouldn't count on customer service. Contacted customer support on December 28th, 2008 and I still haven't heard back from them. Also, if you turn off the TV and then turn it back on without rebooting the computer you have to monkey around with the display setting to get it to display on the TV again. I would love to give it a lower ratting than 4 stars because of the customer service, but the video is great. If you go into the advanced features you can create some hotkeys to do it pretty easily. Although the packaging says HDMI output you have to purchase a DVI to HDMI cable.
So, I enabled my onboard audio via my system bios and I had to run a separate cable for the audio. Just and FYI, this card supports dual monitors. In all of the literature it said HDMI with 5.1 audio. I thought the video card would send audio out through the DVI to HDMI cable.

My PC video looks AWESOME on my 42" 1080p Toshiba HDTV.If you are on the fence about giving your PC a basic video upgrade. You will probably have more problems navigating your BOIS than the installation of the board and the driver software. Once I realized what was going on, it was no problem at all.Overall. look no further. very painless. and since someone gave this item such a scathing review.
In my situation, I had no problem with my computers BOIS in regard to it's on-board video (HP Pavillion s3100n), but I needed to compensate for my on-board audio defaults. Buy this card. It's a great value and SO easy to install. let me be clear: It is important to fully research any product before you buy it online. Any time you buy online.
Other than that it is exactly as shown and advertised, howevr this "simple" discrepency is enough to cause concern as to sellers integrity and honesty. This means you would have to purcahse a DVMI to HDMI cable, rendering the "pair" totally useless and a false advertised statement. product is advertised as a HDMI device and even offered with a 6 ft HDMI to HDMI cable as a pair. However when I actually received item it is in fact a DVMI output, not HDMI as advertised.
